Rome, March 9, SPA -- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak travels toRome on Thursday for talks with Premier Silvio Berlusconi. The visit to Rome is the first leg of the Egyptianpresident's tour of European capitals that includes Berlinand Vienna. Mubarak is expected to meet Monday with Pope Benedict XVIat the Vatican on his way back to Egypt. Mubarak was scheduled to meet Thursday with ItalianPresident Carlo Azeglio Ciampi and then with Berlusconi atthe premier's office. The Middle East and the fight againstinternational terrorism were expected to top the agenda ofthe talks, the Associated Press reported.
