Riyadh, Jan 31, SPA -- Pakistani ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz Mirza has highlighted the importance of the visit of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to Pakistan, and said the visit embodies the existing distinguished Saudi-Pakistani relations. In a statement to SPA, Mirza said the Kingdom and Pakistan are linked with bonds of religion and mutual interests. He noted that King Abdullah, when he was the Crown prince, visited Pakistan in 1984, 1997, 1998, and 2003. 'Moreover King Saud, King Khalid and King Fahd visited Pakistan in 1954, 1976 and 1980 respectively', he added. The ambassador pointed out that the current visit of King Abdullah to Pakistan would positively contribute to further enhancing bilateral relations. He hoped that the visit would pave the way for broadening the scope of cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan in the investment, educational, security and economic domains. Mirza said during the visit, the changeable economic and political situation in the region as well aspects of cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan in issues of mutual interest will be reviewed Moreover, Pakistan's relations with its neighbors, war against terrorism, the situation in the Middle East, as well as reform of the UN and the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) will be discussed, the ambassador noted.
