ISLAMABAD, JUNE 9, SPA - PAKISTAN HAS DESCRIBED THE KILLING OF ABU MUSAB AL-ZARQAWI IN IRAQ AS A "SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT" IN THE WAR AGAINST TERRORISM AND HOPED THESECURITY SITUATION IN THE WAR-RAVAGED GULF COUNTRY WOULD NOW IMPROVE. "IT IS A SIGNIFICANT DEVELOPMENT IN THE WAR AGAINST TERRORISM," FOREIGN OFFICE SPOKESPERSON TASNEEM ASLAM SAID WHILE COMMENTING ON AL-ZARQAWI’S DEATH IN AIRSTRIKE. SHE SAID PAKISTAN HAD ALWAYS EXPRESSED CONCERN AT THE LEVEL OF VIOLENCE IN IRAQ IN WHICH SO MANY PEOPLE WERE BEING KILLED.
