New York, March 15, SPA -- Qatar Ambassador to the United Nations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser said today that the first informal meeting with all security council members on Iran's nuclear program went well, as the draft circulated among members had 'good language', but indicated that members would need to speak to their capitals before any decision can be taken. "Qatar is concerned about security and stability of the region. That region has suffered for the last two decades from wars and disasters and we don't like this to happen again," said Al-Nasser. We want "to give diplomacy some time to call on Iran to cooperate with the Security Council and wait and see," he added. Al-Nasser told reporters that the council would meet informally again on Thursday to discuss the final draft of the presidential statement, and said that a formal meeting would follow in the council on Friday.--SPA 13 26 Local Time 10 26 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/345635
