Washington, Jan 25, S.P.A. -- President George W. Bush, who praised Pakistan as a key ally in combating terrorism, said Tuesday he would visit Pakistan and India later this spring. Meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz at the White House, Bush told reporters, "I'll be traveling to India and Pakistan in March." "The relationship with Pakistan is a vital relationship for the United States," Bush said. "I want to thank the prime minister and thank the president for working closely with us on a variety of issues. We're working closely to defeat the terrorists that would like to harm America and harm Pakistan." Aziz thanked Bush for the aid that the United States provided to Pakistan following October's massive earthquake. He said the region around Pakistan faces many challenges, and the country is pursuing peace with its neighbors. "We want to see a strong, stable Afghanistan," he said.--SP 13 49 Local Time 10 49 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/321170
