Makkah, Dec 8 SPA -- Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad met here today, on the fringe of the Third Extraordinary Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev. They discussed various aspects of bilateral ties and prospects of bolstering cooperation. Ahmadi-Nejad affirmed Iran's readiness to work for further cementing its cooperation with Azerbaijan. He added that the Caspian sea is the sea of peace and security, and the countries around this sea should exert intensive efforts to preserve stability in this region.
