Islamabad, March 4, SPA -- Pakistan and the United States Saturday vowed to continue cooperation in counter-terrorism and to commence a formal strategic partnership dialogue, without, however, signing any new agreements on bilateral cooperation. The reaffirmation came after formal talks between US President George W. Bush and his Pakistani counterpart General Pervez Musharraf, during which the war against terrorism topped the agenda, with Bush saying "a lot needs to be done to take this fight forward." "It is important for all of us to defeat terrorism, we will fight and win this war together," Bush told reporters after talks with Musharraf. The US leader, also assured his country's full backing for economic, investment and education sectors in Pakistan, and promised to encourage American investment here. The President also praised Pakistan for joining international efforts to curb nuclear proliferation and the spread of dangerous nuclear material, according to a report of the German News Agency "DPA". --MORE 13 57 Local Time 10 57 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/336513
