Patna, Oct 8, SPA -- Fifteen policemen died when a policevehicle drove over a land mine in eastern India Saturday,police said. Maoist rebels were suspected to have planted the mine on aroad leading to Baniadih, a remote village in Jharkhandstate, police superintendent Sudarshan Mandal said. At least 15 policemen, including two senior officers, diedin the explosion, Mandal was quoted as saying by The Associated Press. He said the policemen were about to raid a village whererebels were believed to be hiding when the explosionhappened.
