New Delhi, Rabi'II 18, 1437, Jan 28, 2016, SPA -- At least seven policemen were killed in a landmine blast triggered by Maoist militants in India's eastern state of Jharkhand, dpa quoted local police as saying Thursday. The insurgents targeted a police vehicle returning from patrol in the hilly jungles of Chattarpur in Palamu district on Wednesday night. "Seven policemen lost their lives and six more were injured when the explosion blew up the police minibus," Chattarpur police chief Talo Soren said by phone. The militants had opened gunfire on a second police vehicle, but the rebels retreated into the jungles after a brief gunfight. --SPA 11:08 LOCAL TIME 08:08 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
