Kyoto, May 7, SPA -- Japanese Foreign Minister NobutakaMachimura on Saturday said he reiterated to his Chinesecounterpart Tokyo's demands for an apology and compensationfollowing anti-Japan riots in China last month. Machimura and Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing met on thesidelines of a two-day Asia-Europe foreign ministers'conference in Japan's western city of Kyoto, to try to menda diplomatic rift that has sent their relations to itslowest point in decades.
