Karachi, June 4, SPA -- A militant was sentenced to death Saturday after being found guilty of planning two suicide attacks that killed 45 Muslims last year at mosques in southern Pakistan, a government lawyersaid. Gul Hassan, a member of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Jhangvigroup, was captured shortly after the bombings. OnSaturday, judge Haq Nawaz found him guilty of orchestratingthe attacks in Pakistan's largest city Karachi, accordingto government prosecutor Mazhar Qayyum. Hassan's defense lawyer, Mushtaq Ahmed, said he willappeal the decision in the Sindh High Court, according to a report of the Associated Press.
