Islamabad, May 27, SPA -- Defense officials from Pakistanand India on Friday concluded two days of talks withoutreaching any agreement on a pullback of troops from theSiachen glacier, the world's highest battlefield, officialssaid. However, the two sides "agreed to continue talks infuture," said a Pakistani official, who spoke on conditionof anonymity. Indian Defense Secretary Ajai Vikram Singh told reportersonly that the talks were held in a "cordial and positiveatmosphere." His Pakistani counterpart, Tariq WaseemGhazi, said there had been "forward movement" and thetalks "helped us understand each other's position in amuch better way."
