Diyarbakir, Turkey, April 2, SPA -- Turkish security forces foughtKurdish rebels in southeast Turkey in a clash that killedone and injured four others, officials said Saturday. The rebels opened fire on the security forces, killing agovernment-paid village guard and injuring three soldiersand another guard, a local official said. The rebels belong to the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK,which now goes by the name of KONGRA-GEL.
