Berlin, Jan 31, SPA -- Condoleezza Rice will make her first trip toBerlin as U.S. Secretary of State this later week to discuss the post-election situation in Iraq and Iran's nuclear activities, the German government said Monday. Rice will meet Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder at his Berlinoffice Friday, said the chancellor's spokesman, Bela Anda. "The range of themes is extensive _ the situation in Iraqafter the elections, the situation in Iran and Middle Eastpolicy will be at the center of the talks," along withU.S. President George W. Bush's planned visit to GermanyFeb. 23, Anda said.
