Yemeni court upholds death sentence against one USS Cole defendant

San'a, Yemen, Feb 26, SPA -- A Yemeni appeals court on Saturday upheld the death sentence against an extremist convicted inthe 2000 bombing of the USS Cole and reduced a death sentence to 15 years in prison against another defendant. The death sentence was upheld against Abd al-Rahimal-Nashiri. The court overturned a death sentence against Jamal al-Badawi, sentencing him instead to 15 years in jail. The court also upheld a 10-year jail sentence against Fahdal-Qasaa and reduced the sentence against Maamoun al-Msouafrom eight to five years.
