India, China begin strategic dialogue

New Delhi, Jan 24, SPA -- India and China began their first-ever strategic dialogue in the Indian capital Monday. The talks led by Chinese vice foreign minister Wu Dawei and Indian foreign secretary Shyam Saran will cover major global and regional issues including United Nation's reforms, developments in Iraq and issues relating to Afghanistan, Iran and North Korea. The strategic dialogue aims to broaden the scope of an improving bilateral relationship allowing both sides to exchange views on global and regional security issues, Indian diplomatic sources said.
