Paris, May 26, SPA -- President Jacques Chirac was to make alast-ditch push for a "yes" vote on the EU constitution,with a televised prime-time address planned Thursday fromthe presidential Elysee Palace. France votes on the constitution this Sunday, and thelatest polls have suggested a slim majority of voters willreject the new treaty _ the next big step in a 50-yearprocess of European integration. Chirac will try to turn the situation around in atelevised address at 1800GMT (8 p.m. local time), hisfourth and last such appearance of the campaign. A French "no" could, at least temporarily, kill off thelandmark treaty and its stated goal of closer integrationbetween the EU's 25 member states.
