Makhachkala, Russia, March 15, SPA -- Elite special forces andinterior ministry troops in the southern Russian republicof Dagestan searched Tuesday for two suspected militantswho evaded capture after an overnight gunfight, policesaid. The two men, who were wanted on suspicion of carrying outattacks on police and for other serious crimes, opened firewhen police attempted to arrest them late Monday, policespokesman Abdulmanap Musayev said.
