Nicosia, March 16, SPA -- The new government of TurkishCypriot premier Mehmet Ali Talat won a vote of confidenceWednesday in Turkish-part of northern Cyprus, in a boostto efforts to reunify the divided island. Talat, whose Republican Turkish Party won Feb. 20parliamentary elections in the breakaway Turkish Cypriotstate recognized only by Turkey, formed a new governmentwith the Democrat Party of his previous coalition partner,Serdar Denktash.
