Baghdad, Dec 14, SPA -- A suicide car bomber killed sevenpeople when he struck a checkpoint at Baghdad's Green Zoneearly Tuesday, the second attack in two days at thedistrict that houses Iraq's interim government and the U.S.Embassy, officials said. In western Iraq, two U.S. Marines were killed in action,the military said Tuesday, bringing the number of Marineskilled in the region over three days to 10. A military statement said the two Marines were assigned tothe 1st Marine Expeditionary Force and died Monday "whileconducting security and stabilization operations" in thevast Anbar province west of Baghdad, which includes thebattleground cities of Fallujah and Ramadi. Seven other Marines died in action Sunday in Anbar and a10th was killed on Saturday.
