The delegates did not set a deadline for withdrawingU.S.-led forces from Iraq _ despite a push by France andsome Arab countries. The communique, though, does say themandate of foreign forces is "not open-ended." The draft communique for the conference that began Mondayand ends Tuesday also says the interim Iraqi governmentshould meet with its opponents to try to persuade them totake part in the general elections scheduled for Jan. 30. Aboul Gheit said late Monday that the communique, "whichhas been the result of the agreements between all theparties and without confrontations," has been endorsed.
