Ramadi, Iraq, Oct 28, SPA -- Insurgents clashed with U.S. forcesThursday in the restive central Iraq town of Ramadi andAmericans detonated a weapons cache hidden in a home afterarresting its owner, witnesses said. The U.S. military said Marines "have detainedindividuals" amid increased security operations in Ramadi."Operations are still ongoing," according to 1st Lt. LyleGilbert. Rebels also fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a U.S.position on the roof of a government building in theregional capital of Ramadi, drawing American fire,witnesses said. No casualties were reported. Witnesses said U.S. forces also fired on a car after itsdriver abandoned the vehicle, causing a huge explosionafter the fuel tank was hit.
