London, Sept 3, SPA -- Prince Charles will attend ceremoniesmarking the 60th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem onSept. 19 in the Netherlands, his office announced Friday. Charles, who is colonel in chief of Britain's ParachuteRegiment, will attend a regimental reception on Sept. 18and participate in a memorial service at the BritishMilitary Cemetery at Oosterbeek on the following day. The British offensive at Arnhem was part of an alliedattempt to take advantage of German disorganizationfollowing the D-Day landings and set the stage for a thrustinto northern Germany before winter.
