Three Serb Generals indicted for alleged crimes in Kosovo in 1999 urged to surrender

Belgrade, Serbia-Montenegro, Oct 5, SPA -- Three Serb generals indicted by the U.N. war crimes tribunal must surrender or face arrest, an official in charge of cooperation with thecourt said Tuesday. Rasim Ljajic confirmed that authorities have been orderedto apprehend the three indicted police and army generalswho failed to answer a local court summons last weekdealing with their possible extradition to the tribunal inThe Hague, Netherlands. The generals are former army chief of staff NebojsaPavkovic; his former deputy, Vladimir Lazarevic; and policegeneral Vlastimir Djordjevic.
