Cairo, Dec 10, SPA -- President Hosni Mubarak said reportsof a deal with Israel were exaggerated and denied that theEgyptian ambassador would soon return to Tel Aviv, aleading newspaper reported Friday. "There is nothing like that at all," the semiofficialAl-Ahram newspaper quoted Mubarak as saying in an answer toa question about the return of the ambassador. The ambassador was summoned home four years ago to protestwhat Egypt described as Israel's excessive use offorce. News reports this week suggested a significant improvementin Egyptian-Israeli relations: a high-profile prisoner swapwas considered by observers to be part of a bigger dealbetween Egypt and Israel that included the signing of afree trade agreement and the Egyptian role in controllingGaza after the Israel's future withdrawal.
