Washington, Oct 22, SPA -- President George W. Bush opened a one-point lead on Senator John Kerry today in a close race for the White House, according to a poll from the Zogby and Reuters. Bush led Kerry 46-45 percent in the latest three-day tracking poll. The two candidates for president were tied at 46 the previous two days. Less than two weeks before the November 2 election, about six percent of likely voters still have not decided whether to vote for Bush or Kerry. The tight margin is reminiscent of the 2000 election between Bush and then-Vice President Al Gore. Bush won that election after a 36 day recount battle in Florida that was settled by the U.S. Supreme Court.--SPA 1142 Local Time 0842 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/212553
