Ramallah, West Bank, Jan 10, SPA -- Mahmoud Abbas had 65 percent of the vote in the Palestinian presidential election, according to partial results, officials said Monday. The figure is based on results in 10 of 16 voting districts, said a member of the Central Election Commission who spoke on condition of anonymity. Abbas' main challenger, independent candidate Mustafa Barghouti, won 21 percent, the official said. The remaining five candidates scored in low single digits.
