Baghdad, Sept 30, SPA -- A suicide attacker exploded a carbomb in front of a government complex west of the Iraqicapital Thursday, killing at least one U.S. soldier and twoIraqi policemen and wounding more than 60 people, Iraqi andcoalition officials said. The morning attack targeted a compound in the Abu Ghraibarea housing the mayor's office, a police station and otherbuildings, police 1st Lt. Ahmed Jawad said. U.S. forceswere guarding the complex. A U.S. Bradley fighting vehicle was damaged in the attack,which killed one U.S. soldier and injured three, said Lt.Col. Jim Hutton, spokesman for the U.S. 1st CavalryDivision. At least two Iraqi policeman also died in the blast,Hutton said in a statement.
