Moscow, Sept 29, SPA -- Russia opposes referring Iran's nuclear activities to the U.N. Security Council and believes thatthe technical expertise of the International Atomic EnergyAgency makes it the proper body to deal with the matter,Russia's Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov saidWednesday. "We believe that the question is located now in the realmof the IAEA's responsibilities," Ivanov said at a newsconference in Moscow. "Sending it to the Security Council, which is a political organ, would hardly meet the interestsof the matter."--SPA1325 Local Time 1025 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/206570
