Kabul, Dec 25 (SPA) - Taliban fighters killed at least one driver in an attack on a convoy of Afghan army trucks recently delivered by India, a senior police officer in the southeast province of Farah told Reuters on Saturday. The convoy of around 20 vehicles was on its way to Kandahar from the western city of Herat when it came under attack in the Bagwa Desert in Farah on Friday afternoon, Deputy Police Chief Haji Mohammad Rasool told Reuters. At least one driver was killed, and another was missing, while two others were wounded, he said. Rasool said security forces had mounted a major search operation for the guerrillas, who numbered around 20. The vehicles had been donated to the Afghan Ministry of Defense by the Indian government, he said. --SPA 1118 Local Time 0818 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/227372
