Indonesian president leaves for APEC summit in Chile =

Jakarta, Nov 18, SPA - - Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono left for Chile on Thursday to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Santiago this weekend. Yudhoyono was scheduled to arrive at 4 a.m. on Friday, accompanied by top government officials including Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Aburizal Bakrie, Foreign Affairs Minister Hassan Wirayudha, and Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman M. Hidayat. On his first day in Chile, Yudhoyono is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Chilean President Ricardo Lagos, Vietnamese President Tran Duc Luong and Australian Prime Minister John Howard, according to the state-run news agency, Antara. On his second day in the country, he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President George W. Bush, and also hold meetings with businessmen from APEC member countries.
