Islamabad, Oct 14, SPA - US Assistant Secretary of State Christina Rocca arrives in Islamabad on Saturday for a four-day official visit as part of a regional tour that will also take her to India and Afghanistan, officials said.Ms Rocca is to hold talks with Pakistan Foreign Secretary Riaz Khokhar and call on President General Pervez Musharraf, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri.Officials said three major issues would be taken up during these meetings: Pakistan-US relations, the war on terrorism and the schedule of peace talks between Pakistan and India.The situation in Afghanistan and Iraq would also be discussed, they added.Officials said the focus of the talks on US-Pakistan relations would be economic."Pakistan wants more US investment and to enhance trade relations and will impress this upon the assistant secretary of state," they said.According to the officials, it is part of Ms Rocca's periodical visits to discuss and review various developments taking place in the region and the world.The visit is important as it comes just two weeks ahead of the US presidential elections.--SPA1301 Local Time 1001 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/210946
