Seoul, South Korea, Aug 23, SPA -- North Korea lashed out Monday at U.S. President George W. Bush for turning "a peacefulworld into a pandemonium unprecedented in history," andreaffirmed it won't attend preparatory meetings ahead ofplanned nuclear disarmament talks. Last week, Bush referred to North Korean leader Kim JongIl as a "tyrant," and said he had embarked on six-nationtalks to convince Kim to disarm because the United Statescouldn't do it alone. The next round of talks _ which also include China, Japan,Russia and South Korea _ are supposed to take place by theend of September. But North Korea has recently thrown thoseplans into doubt by saying it won't attend working meetingsto prepare for the larger talks.--SPA1310 Local Time 1010 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/194290
