Kirkuk, Iraq, Sept 18, SPA -- A suicide attacker detonated a carbomb near a crowd of people waiting to apply for jobs withthe Iraqi National Guard in the northern city of Kirkuk onSaturday, killing at least 20 people and wounding 16,officials said. The street outside the guard headquarters was litteredwith bloodied bodies, debris and shards of glass.Ambulances with sirens wailing rushed to the site of theexplosion and firefighters doused flames leaping up from aburning car.
