Mogadishu, Ramadan 13, 1433, Aug 1, 2012, SPA - At least one Somali government soldier was killed Wednesday and three wounded, as soldiers thwarted a suicide bombing outside the constituent assembly in Mogadishu. Two men were killed by government forces as they tried to enter the building in Hamarjajab district, carrying explosives. Over the last nine days, 825 delegates and tribal elders have been meeting for talks there on adopting a new draft constitution, according to a report of DPA. Interior Minister Abdisamad Ma'alin Mohamud, who also serves as a minister for security, said a suicide attack was prevented. "I thank the Somali security forces and police for preventing these attacks."
