Jeddah, Rabi'I 13, 1433, Feb 5, 2012, SPA - The Secretariat General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expressed its deep regret for the failure of the United Nations Security Council to reach an agreement on a draft resolution submitted by Morocco on behalf of the Arab Group, which called for the settlement of the crisis and the immediate cessation of all acts of violence in Syria. In a press statement issued today, the Organization hoped that the inability of the Security Council to adopt a resolution on the Syrian crisis would not lead to the fall of more victims in Syria, renewing its call for all parties in Syria to work to spare their country from the risks of sliding into a civil war that threatens peace, security and stability in Syria and the whole region. --SPA 15:10 LOCAL TIME 12:10 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/967235
