RAMALLAH, Safar 7, 1433, Jan 1, 2012, SPA - Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Saturday that if the Quartet was unable to revive Palestinian-Israeli negotiations by January 26, then its mission will be considered a failure and all options will be open. Speaking to Palestine TV and Voice of Palestine radio on the occasion of 47 years since the launching of the Palestinian "Intifada" (uprising) , Abbas ruled out the possibility of a third Intifada, stressing his opposition to it. He said Jordan is trying to help the (Mideast) Quartet, which is composed of the United States, European Union, Russia and United Nations, to bring the parties involved together, stressing that the Palestinians are ready to resume negotiations with Israel if it agrees on the 1967 borders and stop all settlements. --SPA 14:53 LOCAL TIME 11:53 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/957711
