US President Joe Biden stressed on Friday that there is “no place for political violence” in the US, two years after the Capitol attack. He made his remarks as he honored police who fought off the mob of Republican Donald Trump supporters. Biden stressed that “There is no place — none — zero, zero place in America for voter intimidation — zero, never — and political violence.” The Democratic president added that “America is a land of laws and not chaos.” “History will remember your names,” Biden told the honorees, before awarding 14 Presidential Citizens Medals. Biden honored security members including some now known nationwide from their appearances during the televised congressional probe into the attack or from the Capitol attack footage. The president further honored officials who oversaw the voting in several states and faced pressures and threats in an attempt to force them to change the poll result.
