Makkah, November 24, 2022, SPA -- The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Holy Mosque and the Prophet's Holy Mosque, through all its affiliated departments and in cooperation with other public institutions, has increased its efforts during the downpour at the Grand Holy Mosque. The presidency recruited more than 200 supervisors, 4,000 workers and over 500 tools to deal with the weather conditions. Efforts were intensified to remove the impacts of rain to preserve the safety of visitors of the mosque to ensure they perform their rituals easily through distributing water pumping equipment, in addition to preparing a contingency plan to deal with rainfall. The presidency’s agency for security, safety and facing emergencies and risks has activated the preemptive emergency plans and ensured the preparedness of the mosque to ensure the work sustainability and services in coordination with all other administrations participating in rain plans. --SPA 16:00 LOCAL TIME 13:00 GMT 0017 www.spa.gov.sa/w1817928
