Jeddah, November 06, 2022, SPA – The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) reiterated that corruption is one of the most important obstacles to development and one of the causes of the loss of national wealth. This came during the second meeting of the expert group in charge of studying and preparing the anti-corruption agreement draft, held here today and will continue until next Wednesday. OIC Secretary-General Hissein Brahim Taha in a speech delivered on his behalf by OIC Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs Ambassador Yousef bin Mohammed Al-Dobeay, at today's meeting, lauded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s initiative, in its capacity as President of the Fourth Islamic Summit, to host the first ministerial meeting of the competent law enforcement agencies to counter corruption in member states under the umbrella of the OIC in December in Jeddah. --SPA 19:12 LOCAL TIME 16:12 GMT 0025 www.spa.gov.sa/w1809718
