GCC Supreme Council to Hold 154th Preparatory Session in Riyadh Tomorrow

Riyadh, Dec 6, 2022, SPA -- The 154th Preparatory Ministerial Council meeting of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States will be held in its 43rd session at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat tomorrow (Wednesday). The meeting will be headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chairman of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council with the participation of the GCC Secretary-General Dr. Naif Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf, and in the presence of the foreign ministers of the GCC countries. Dr. Al-Hajraf confirmed that the convening of the GCC Ministerial Council in its 154th preparatory session comes as a continuation of the preparations that are currently taking place for the start of the work of the 43rd session of the GCC Supreme Council, which is scheduled to be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, in the presence of the leaders of the GCC's Memer States and their representatives. The ministerial meeting, in its 154th preparatory session, will address the agenda of the (Riyadh-Gulf-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development), which will also be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, With the participation of the leaders of the GCC states and their representatives, as well as the participation of His Excellency the President of the People's Republic of China, as the Riyadh-Gulf-Chinese Summit for Cooperation and Development constitutes the first Chinese-Gulf summit, which comes as a continuation of the historical relations between the GCC countries and China. He also stressed the importance of the Gulf-Chinese relations, as China is the first trade partner of the GCC countries, and the areas of future cooperation are very large, and there is a mutual desire to develop relations to serve common interests and enhance cooperation in the economic, development, trade and other fields.
