Saudi Arabia Becomes Member in Steering Committee of International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport

Riyadh, November 9, 2022, SPA -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), has received an official invitation from the International Partnership Against Corruption in Sport (IPACS) to join as a member of the Steering Committee in order to enhance efforts to eliminate corruption in the sports field. This comes in recognition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in combating cross-border corruption crimes and launching the Riyadh Initiative by establishing a global operational network for anti-corruption law enforcement authorities (GlobE Network). Nazaha and the Saudi Ministry of Sports will participate as representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the meetings of the Steering Committee of IPACS. Through its membership in the partnership, Nazaha aspires for the Kingdom to have a leading role in formulating and defining international anti-corruption policies in the sports field to achieve the highest levels of transparency, integrity and governance in granting the rights to host and broadcast international matches and competitions, and the procedures for their organization.
