Panama City, October 20, 2022, SPA -- A very strong earthquake struck off the southern coast of Panama on Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said, though there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage. The magnitude-6.7 earthquake hit at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers in the Pacific Ocean, 62 kilometers south of the coastal village of Boca Chica. It was felt in parts of Panama City, the capital.
