Riyadh, October 18, 2022, SPA -- Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi, Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Foreign Trade, will chair tomorrow the 63rd Meeting of Ministers of Commerce and Industry of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the ministerial committee for the GCC metrology affairs, to be held at GCC Secretariat General, with the participation of GCC Secretary General Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf. The GCC ministers of commerce are scheduled to discuss several issues listed on the meeting’s agenda, mainly following up on negotiations related to free trade agreements between the GCC countries and international blocs, e-commerce, an action plan for commercial draft laws and bylaws, and encouraging projects of small and medium enterprises. The ministers of commerce and industry will also hold a consultation meeting with heads of the GCC federations and chambers to address challenges and difficulties facing the private sector in all GCC countries, as part of efforts and endeavors of the GCC leaders to enhance and develop partnership and cooperation among the GCC countries in a way that benefits the GCC citizens and removes obstacles facing the freedom of commercial exchange among the GCC countries. --SPA 16:52 LOCAL TIME 13:52 GMT 0020 www.spa.gov.sa/w1799788
