Saudi Minister of Commerce Meets Head of Moroccan Government, Six Ministers to Discuss Joint Cooperation

Riyadh, October 04, 2022, SPA -- Minister of Commerce and Chairman of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Dr. Majid Abdullah Al-Qasabi, met In the Moroccan capital, Rabat, yesterday with Head of Moroccan Government Aziz Akhannouch and six Moroccan Ministries, in presence of Saudi Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco Abdullah bin Saad Alghriri. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Qasabi discussed ways to enhance joint economic and trade cooperation, empower the private sector and develop investments between the two countries. The Saudi minister also met with the Moroccan Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita. Dr. Al-Qasabi also held bilateral meetings with Moroccan Minister of Trade and Industry, Eng. Ryad Mezzour; Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, Mohamed Seddiqi; and the Minister of Economic Integration, Small Enterprises, Employment and Competencies, Younes Skouri. As a part of the visit, Dr. Al-Qasabi met with Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance Nadia Alaoui and Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid. During these meetings, bilateral relations and ways of developing them into concrete partnerships in various trade and investment sectors were discussed in realization of aspirations of the two countries' leaders. The minister paid a visit to the headquarters of Saudi ACWA Power, a leading international energy company, to get acquainted with the company's projects in the Kingdom of Morocco and its global projects.
