Iraqi Siamese Twins Omar and Ali Arrive in Riyadh to Study Possibility of Separation Surgery

Riyadh, September 11, 2022, SPA -- Upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Iraqi Siamese twins "Omar and Ali" arrived today at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, accompanied by their parents, coming from the Republic of Iraq. The twins were transferred upon their arrival to the King Abdulaziz Medical City of the National Guard to conduct medical examinations and study the possibility of conducting their separation procedure. Adviser at the Royal Court, Supervisor General of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and head of the medical team, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, extended his sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for the support and attention they give to the Saudi program for separating Siamese twins. He stressed that this reflects the wise leadership's generous humanitarian stances towards the needy across the world, noting Saudi Arabia's distinguished medical capabilities made it occupy an advanced position globally in the field of separating Siamese twins. On his part, the father of the twins, Muhammad Abdullah, expressed his sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, HRH the Crown Prince and the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the warm reception and hospitality they have received, since their arrival in Saudi Arabia.
