Groups of pilgrims flock to Madinah before leaving for their countries

Madinah, July 14, 2022, SPA-- Groups of pilgrims are arriving in Madinah as the city gears up to receive them coming from Makkah after they performed the Hajj ritual this year with ease and safety. The agencies operating within the Pilgrim Experience Program, and all service and health agencies, began implementing their plan for the post-Hajj season, as groups of pilgrims along the Hijra Highway linking Makkah and Madinah accompanied by field security troops that work to ensure the flow of traffic, and security around the clock, and intensifying automatic and human monitoring to ensure vehicles’ abidance to traffic regulations, not exceeding the speed limit, and following up the drivers, to achieve the security and safety of travelers, and preparing all services to take care of pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet’s Holy Mosque through an integrated system of efforts. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) witnessed the flow of buses arriving through the Madinah Gate on the Hijra Highway, and field measures taken to facilitate the movement of buses heading for the northern ports of the Kingdom, directly through the designated roads without entering the city, in addition to bus registration procedures., and facilitating the movement of pilgrims to hotels and residential places in the central region within a short time, in coordination with the field committees working in the Hajj under the supervision of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and other relevant authorities. The majority of pilgrims are keen to visit Madinah before or after completing Hajj to pray in the Prophet’s Holy Mosque, and to have the honor of greeting the Messenger - peace be upon him - and his two companions - before leaving for their countries. Meanwhile, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport witnesses heavy departure movement after the Hajj as part of an action plan in which all concerned parties participate, to follow up the transfer of pilgrims from their residential areas through the designated buses, and to reach the airport well before the time of departure, to ensure the flow of flights of various local and international airlines, and the departure of the pilgrims to their homelands smoothly and safely.
