Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Tops Middle East In Marine Quality For 21 Century

Riyadh, September 12, 2022, SPA -- Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arena. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that achieving integrated quality in the performance of all the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's institutions and agencies comes as a well-established priority in the state's strategies since the foundation stages until this prosperous and auspicious era being led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, the paper said. Such unprecedented and unremitting care effectively contribute to enhance the performance of these government institutions and agencies and has great impact on achieving global performance standards, recognized by international forums, the paper added. In this regard, Saudi Arabia has obtained the Marine Quality Certificate (USCG) for the 21st century as the first country in the Middle East and one of 26 countries in the world, due to its achievement of marine quality standards in US ports, the paper further added. This achievement was a result of the Kingdom's ships visiting the US ports have completely fulfilled and complied with the highest standards and requirements of the environment and marine safety, in addition to their commitment to the provisions of international conventions and following the best practices related to preserving the components of the marine environment, the paper concluded. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the industrial production index in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is witnessing an increasing growth in mining activity and investments, manufacturing industries, food and other products which strongly contribute to increase the growth of its gross domestic production and exports. Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has set ambitious targets for these vital sectors in expanding and diversifying the base of the economy, within the framework of a comprehensive strategy, set for achieving the goals of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), the paper said. Such unprecedented industrial progress is being enhanced by the industry platform and joint work with the advanced global network to provide best industrial practices and share and transfer the leading industrial experiences around the world to enable the adoption of advanced technologies in the local industrial sector the paper added. Through its strategy and program for developing the national industry and logistics services, Saudi Arabia has become a leading industrial power and a global logistics platform by maximizing the value achieved from the mining and energy sectors and focusing on the axes of local content and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the paper further added.
