Mawhiba Reviews Success of Research Programs before 2022 European Council for High Ability in the Netherlands

Riyadh, September 4, 2022, SPA -- The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has reviewed its successful experience in research programs at the 18th European Council for High Ability (ECHA), which was held in The Hague in the Netherlands between August 31 and September 3, 2022. Director General of the Excellence Center Dr. Khalid Al-Sharif participated with a scientific paper titled “Improving Mawhiba research programs… investigative analysis for future executive recommendations,” which he reviewed on the first day of the scientific program of the conference, where the paper included the mechanism that Mawhiba adopted to increase the quality level of student research and how that enabled it to receive 22 major awards in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), in addition to receiving the award of the best researcher in the world by one of Mawhiba students. Dr. Al-Sharif went over Mawhiba’s efforts in caring for the talented and its approach in offering research programs, in comparison with scientific programs and providing recommendations in the field of developing sponsorship and in the field of research for talented students. The conference saw the participation of specialists in the field of caring for the talented from the USA, Europe and Africa with scientific papers, workshops and lectures on several aspects, such as innovative educational practices, supporting the development of talents, self-development, connecting research and practice with useful ways, the necessity of engaging every educated person, considering students’ opinions, and creating new norms in a bid to invest in talents throughout age. The 2022 ECHA aims at creating an exceptional communication opportunity for teachers, researchers, psychologists and parents and enhancing the exchange of information among people concerned in this field, in the presence of more than 800 people from 15 countries, where three of Mawhiba students (Abdulrahman Al-Fheid, Rafif Hubani, and Hanin Al-Tamar) participated in the conference to exchange ideas, expertise and culture with a group of participants from across the world. --SPA 12:34 LOCAL TIME 09:34 GMT 0004 www.spa.gov.sa/w1780585
