Riyadh, Sept. 05, 2021 SPA -- Saudi specialists at the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity "Mawhiba" shared the institution's performance methodology as well as the success of its experience locally and internationally in discovering, nurturing and investing in talented people with experts, specialists and educators from 33 countries attending the 17th European Council for High Ability Conference. A platinum sponsor and keynote speaker, "Mawhiba" participated in the event held virtually from August 31 to September 2 to discuss and tackle the obstacles and challenges facing talented students, one of the largest international forums that bring together expertise in the field of talent and creativity from all over the world. Dr. Omar Al-Muammar, Mawhiba Consultant, explained that “Mawhiba” is a local institution with a global view, founded in 1990, and has gone through three-faceted five-year strategic plans from 2019 and extends to 2023, stressing that talented people are the true wealth of nations and that their service is based on three stages: discovery, nurturing, and investment. He pointed out that gifted students have a higher intellectual and cognitive ability than their peers, and that regular school courses do not constitute a sufficient source for them, explaining that the journey to develop the gifted student must be a complete experience from start to finish and that the Mawhiba criteria of multiple mental abilities are the main test for evaluating the abilities of gifted students. --SPA 21:49 LOCAL TIME 18:49 GMT 0031 www.spa.gov.sa/w1613892
